Stock AirBox

a few days ago i vented the BOV from the stock air box. Its pretty sweet. But the only problem, is that there was a empty valve on the right side of the airbox. Not the BOV valve on the airbox. If you look at the airbox from the front of the car, there is a hose that is hooked up to the right side of the box. I looked at the hose and couldnt find where the hose hooks up. Should i just plug the hole and take off the hose or just leave it vented?

The hose of mystery has presented to another acolyte. Welcome to the world of hoses for no reason...

Actually, it provides a resonating tube for the air control outlet. You get a "moo" if it's not on there...

that hose dangles and vents above the radiator. I would leave it as is.

Nah, plug the hole and take the hose off.
Then you can tell everyone that mooing is just something that rotary engines do.

That's one often overlooked aspect about our cars....very few people know anything about rotaries and we can get away telling them all sorts of crap and they swallow it.

What's funny is the one thing people generally don't believe is when I say truthfully I have a 1.3L engine with 357 rwp.

It's like they say...Tell a man there's a billion stars in the sky and he'll belive you. Tell him the park bench has wet paint and he'll have to touch it to be sure

Don't plug the hole. It's a vent. It's supposed to have a hose connected to it that vents under the box.

You can modify your stock airbox to perform much better.
