Stillway shifter review (Supra 6spd)

Hi guys I know this is not an fd rx7 specific part. But since I did a review on it on my YouTube channel I wanted to share it on here also. It’s probably pay similar if not the same concept for the fd shifter..

Video not of an FD

So sorry guys if I was not more specific about the description of the post and video.

The stillway shifter as far as I know is a pretty rare piece and an item that hasn’t really been covered or made aware of mechanically out there? Plus they make one for the fd as well. So just wanted to share my feedback and review of it so you guys can get an idea of how this works.

final notes: personally I wouldn’t get this on the fd. I probably will be swapping it back out for a stock shifter or another short shifter for the Supra. 🙂

The kicker with that shifter is they try and tell you about it in the name - 0-400m shifter. It's for drag racing. It's not "lovely drive in the country" shifter or "get to work today" shifter.

It's a really neat part and well engineered but it has a specific purpose.

Regardless, Thanks for the video review!

I've had my stillway in my fd for 4 years now and I have no issues daily driving around with it. You can pull it up and lock it in place so shifting is normal. Then just lift with a 1/4 turn of the **** it drops down and contacts the gates. The only thing I wish was different is that it was shorter throw than stock.
