My gas gas release is stuck in the retracted position, so door will not latch closed.
Tried lubing & loosening mounting nut with no benifit.

Anyone have any tips ?
Found nothing by searching forum, so maybe this is not a common issue.

 

was your car recently painted? i accidently got paint on mine that gummed it up.

you can remove it and sand it down to make it smooth again
