Question Static in the Bose speaker

Since doing my fan mod I now get a static sound in the rear right BOSE speaker (I own a Touring model). It occurs when I hit bumps only and is not too loud. It happens wether a CD is being played or not. I check fuses and dont see a problem. What do you think it is? I dont know how I could have effected anything when I did the fan mod. Could it have to do with a ground wire? Its driving me crazy.

mine was making a noise too and on the same side. I think it may just be time to replace it. That's what I did and it works fine now. Mine started out doing it like yours then a few weeks later it didn't play any sound at all and made the noise even at no volume.

I would check the ground wire. I've heard on more then one occasion that a loose ground wire will create soft static in the speakers.

Peaces~

Ill check the ground connections... Like I said, it started right after I did the fan mod, so maybe a ground got loose. Hope its not the speaker going out. The wierd thing is how the static happens when the road gets rough.
