Question Starting Question?

I just picked up my car a couple of days ago. I was just wondering if its normal on start up for the engine to raise to about 3 grand then as it warms up it slowly drops to about 800. It aslo shakes slightly when it warms up. Just qurious the car seems fine, but figured I would ask. The car only has 11,500 miles on it. So I hope its normal. Thanks

perfectly normal. I heard earlier that if you start it with the clutch in, it wont do it. My rises to 1800 every morning no matter what I do..
BUT yes that is all good....

well. seeing as a manual car cannot be started without the clutch in?????? lol. Thats the AWS ( accelerated warm up system its for cold start emissions)that makes your car rev to 3000 rpms at startup. it however, is NOT good for a rotary engine, its not good for any engine to rev to 3 grand when its bone cold, but especially rotary engines. Just start your car in gear and it should be a normal start, but make sure not to accidently let the clutch out

If you have your car in 1st gear with engine off, pull the stick towards you until it can easily be moved sideways. At this point you are in the neutral zone and the car should start just fine without the need of clutch operation!
