lately i am having some starting problems. when cranking the motor, it's having a hard time turning over. you can tell that the engine is trying but it just doesn't want to unless i keep going at it and eventually it does. while it's struggling, there are several backfires and smoke. The weird thing is, sometimes it starts perfectly fine and sometimes it does this. Any suggestions?

 

Might be time for new plugs

 

i did flood my plugs recently so that could be it? I cleaned the plugs as much as I can but I assume it's not as good as new ones...

 

Install new plugs and you should be good to go, does it happen more often when the car is cold or warm?
