Starting / Electrical Problems
Hi all, I'm having electrical problems withmy FD. First, my alternator blew out, and while in the process burned some of my battery fusebox. I replaced the alternator and got it to start, but then it started sputtering and I parked it. I don't think the battery is getting a charge, or something must be fused together. I am getting all kinds of error lights on the dash- ABS, SRS, Charge, etc. Plus, the overheat light and oil level lights come on. Since I parked it, the engine won't crank, I can hear the starter spin but the engine isn't turning over. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Anthony

After any electrical issue, I'd check all the fuses. There are a couple of fuse boxes in the engine bay and one inside the cabin near the clutch.
If you're worried about your battery, check the voltage with a multimeter, it should read at least 12.4-12.6V, or take it to an auto parts store, most of them will recharge batteries for free.
