Starter Motor Question
I know that the starter motor is aft of the transmission but could someone post a pic of it and the wire that goes to the battery?? My battery is dead and I cant get into my car due to the alarm that I have. The car is like Fort Knox once it gets locked.

I used a pocket knife and a hanger to get into my car when the alarm locked me out (compustar, my fault).
Use pocket knife to pry the window seals up a little, then slide the blade into the car and pry the window out just enough to slide the hanger in.
Bend the hanger so it reaches the door latch, bend a hook at the end, and just pop the latch.

How does the alarm disable being able to use the key in the door to gain entry ???? Passenger or drivers side doors. The passenger side should unlock no matter what kind of alarm you have and if the battery's dead how will the alarm work any way ? ? ? ? Explain more as I'm not seeing the problem.

He still should be able to climb in through the trunk though even if the battery is dead.

I have to agree if you own the key that came with the car it should open something. Kinda reminds me of the lady standing beside her crying.......seems the battery had gone dead in the remote for the keyless entry. When asked what here problem was, her reply was she was unable to open the car (dead battery in the remote) so the guy took the keys from her stuck it in the door and opened it for her. Like I said I don't see the issue (unless the mechanical rods have been removed from the door handle. ? ? ? ? ?

This is the problem. All of the key locks, including the trunk have been disabled for security reasons. The alarm is powered from the battery. So how do you get into a car with a dead battery and you cant open the door with the key?? Precisely the point. The only way to feed power to the battery is to the starter motor, so that is my dilemma.

Wow even the trunk ? ? ? ? The starter is on the drivers side, I think you will have to remove a splash/skid plate for more room. In order to get some kind of cable (jumper ?) to the starter lead from the battery. Should be able to ground the other lead any where on the chasis, The starter (motor part) is towards the front of the car.
