starter draw voltage

So what is everyone getting with starter draw voltage? Car I am messing with has a battery relocation to the rear bin and seems decent. I ended up doing the rx8 starter swap for the 2K starter to get the starting faster. So these 3 are starts with different wiring.

First is stock(well without the jumper cables added and with the battery relocated to rear), second is with a set of jumper cables with only ground attached between battery and starter, and third is with the ground and positive jumper attached to starter from battery.

Think I'm in the first scenario in your description - relocated battery but no jumper cables to the starter.

7.7 - 7.9 is what I see during cranking most of the time. If I see anything less than 7.7 (mostly when the car hasn't been driven for more than a week) I know i"ll have to jump start the car.
