On start up I am leaking oil

I noticed that when I start up oil is leaking out of my exhaust. It is not dripping or anything it is more like mist I only noticed this because of the fine droplets on the floor of the garage. I know that they burn oil. but is this normal? after about a minute or so it stops.

Are you sure it's not just water? Water condenses in the exhuast and comes out upon start up. Maybe you have some blue smoke upon start up and it just like oil that's coming out. That's what happens to me.

I think it could be water, but the droplets are black. I just checked and they dried up so it is probably water and I am guessing that the black spots are carbon does that sound right?

Yep, sounds normal. Mine spits out a little bit on a cold start up. Scared me at first as well.
