Stand-alone ECU comparo?
This is where (I hope) Mahjik comes in with the thread that I can't find...
Anyone written up the features/pros/cons of the different standalone ECUs that are commonly used for the FD?
There's a lot of info on this forum about the different ones, but not much that I could find that really compares tham.
On a related note - any suggestions for general reading on ECU tuning (rotary-specific would be nice, but not necessary)? I understand some of the real basics - like the definitions of A/F ratios, timing, injector pulse widths and duty cycles, etc. What I don't know is how to take that basic theoretical understanding and translate it into reality. I've looked at some of my usual sources, like HP Books, without success. I'd like something less substantial than anautomotive engineering text, but more substantial than a 1 or 2 page FAQ.
