Stale Fuel Help Please
Hey guys, my car has been sidelined since roughly December, and the car hasnt been started since then bc i have been working fulltime plus overtime. I tried to start the car to no avail, changed the plugs, and got a new battery, still no go. The motor turns over, but wont start. Everyone has told me that the fuel in there is more likely than not, stale, which is why the car wont start.
My question, aside from the good ole siphoning it dry, is there any other method to get it out? I have basically one gallon of fuel in there (like 3-5 mm above the last fuel hash mark). Would it be a good idea to just fill the car up with a fresh tank of fuel, and try to start her up?
At any rate, im getting a new ported motor dropped in there, but i need to have the car running, at least to get the car there. Thanks in advance for your help!

open hatch move carpet and gastank cover, pull the gas hose and replace with a long hose than power up the pump. If I know it had only 1 or 2 gallons I would fill it up with high test and try to start it

I doubt if old gas is your problem. I have had old gas in cars for 3-4 months at a time and it's never a problem.
Try siphon if you want to empty the tank and start with new gas. If it's only a few gallons, just pure in a few more gallons of fresh gas to see it that helps.
Since you mentioned that you are getting a new motor, maybe you can tell us what's wrong w/ the old motor.
If all else fails, you may want to consider putting it onto a flatbed.

I also doubt old gas is your problem... I've had year old gas work fine. You'd think the engine would at least kinda run. Also, if you're fuel gage is 3-5 mm above the empty line, you probably have a lot more than 1 gallon in there. Probably more like 3. If I were you, I'd just fill it up with fresh gas.
