Question Squeaking and Clunking from rear....

I was just wondering.... why does the car Squeak and clunk from the rear excesively when the weather is hot???? At night the car is perfectly fine.....
Very weird.... Do you guys have the same problem as well????

I know the clunking sound is from the bushings and all....but what about the squeaking noise???? is it comming from the hatch?????
How do I know??? I turn my head to the rear when I go over a bump but I can't find where to pin point... I do know its back there somewhere....
Thanks

take the rear divider out and get somebody to lay in the back there while you take a spin around the block. Sometimes that is the only way to know for sure where sounds are coming from.

It's probably the hatch, mine does the same thing. Need to unbolt the hook and move it lower.

Well if its the rear end, then its the pillowball bushings.

he says he knows the clunking is from the bushings, he was asking about the squeak.

If it is the hatch, sometimes an option to lowering the latch is to put a washer under the rubber stops.

also try putting some white lithium grease or other light grease on the rubber bump stops.
