Does anyone have / know where to get a template for the hole positions for the factory spoiler. I have bought a factory spoiler for my FD and don't want to **** up drilling the holes.

Where did you find the spoiler and what is the going rate for a used one??

I have been interested in a stock unit but I also don't want to screw up the drilling!

I have a touring (originaly without) the spoiler. I made a template out of a piece of card board and taped it on the hatch. If you raise up the hatch you will see a" v "shaped indention underneath, this is where two of the screw heads will be if the holes are properly drilled...you transfer the cented of the" v "onto the card board for a starting point. Then I set the spoiler on the cardboard and got the edge of the spoiler equal distance from the edge of the hatch and then got the screw holes that line up with the line I transfered from the "V" underneath...double check place ment to be sure then apply enough pressure to imprint all the mounting screws into the cardboard (didn't mention I placed all the screws in the mounting holes) after pressing down on the spoiler for a good imprint theis is where you will want to center punch the marks. It's important that the cardboard be taped down securely so it doesn't shift. You'll have to remove the hatch panels for acess to the mounting holes two of them are a chalange the four outside mounting screws are easy and the front studs are easy. I drilled my holes just slightly larger than the thread diamater so it did not have much room for adjustment. Measure twice, three times make sure it right ...drill once. It wasn't hard just don't get carried away with the center punch and drill with a small pilot bit to start off and put tape over the pilot hole to prevent paint chipping when stepping up to larger bit. should you use any sealant of some kind on the hole to prevent rust?

I just applied some black model paint to the edges. I also used that putty that is used to seal tail lights to the car body (prevents moisted from entering interior of car) didn't get carried away just enough around the hole to seal water out. Don't need it on the outside four screws as wated would drip into the channel.

I just removed my factory spoiler the other day so i can see the holes. If you woould like me to take measurements, let me know and I will do that for u.
