Spirit R part question

What is this part called and where can I find it? I just noticed it and was wondering if anyone has any better pics of it or a site that sells them, and if it will fit in the 93's.

Its that silver passenger foot plate thing.......

A 93 RHD perhaps... but I doubt it will fit in the passenger side of a LHD.

It was used in the RZ FDs from about 93. They pop up every now and then on the second-hand market, and should still be available as an option part. The only reason I haven't bought one is that you need to bolt them into the floor - which I don't have the tools for.

DaiOni, as Dave was so astute to point out the contours of the RHD and LHD passenger (and driver for that matter) floor area are very different. The mats, carpets, and footrests are NOT interchangeable.

spandy, I actually had a LHD-compatible replica made, so I'll be running a GB on it shortly. Keep an eye out for 'em in my vendor section

Thanks

So it goes over the mats, or in place of the mats? It's actually bolted to the floor? Does it have a purpose or is it just for styling? Seems like a "JDM" way of having metal floor mats.
