Ok, I am trying to change my plugs right now, ordered new ones and got BR6 and BR8's well i pulled the first plug and it was a BR9 does this really matter???? Should I be using BR9's or should I just stick the BR8 in its place?????

 

9s are better if u have mods.
get 9s from auto zone or advance auto part.

 

i currently have a pettit DP, mazdatrix midpipe, apex N1 exhaust and that is it. They are fouled a bit but not TOO bad. Should I stick the 9's back int for now or switch to the new 8's for now. Not really modded and turbos aint running right anyway (only see 7 psi, working on this too), so will the 8's be good????

 

Stock calls for BUR7's in the leading, BUR9's in the trailing. the 9's are a "cooler" plug (don't run as hot) and will prevent detonation IF they are placed in the leading position IF (and ONLY IF) you are running with high boost at lean tuned condition all the time (more or less) I ran 9's in all positions on a basically stock engine (DP only real flow effecting mod) and the leadings were fowled after 500 miles! If you are running stock, the 6's in the leading position and the 8's in the trailing postion will be enough to get you to the store to buy the 7's and the 9's!
What I mean is that you should really put the 9's and 7's in their place. Where did you get that they should be 8's and 6's? Racer's? Who have air fuel monitors and fuel maps that give juuust the right mixture that they can run that hot a set up and not worry about the detonation that will KILL your motor with the hot plugs? Just curious...

 

Ok so I will put the 9's back in for now, I didnt realize there was that big a difference till I started to change them. I just ordered what mazdatrix had listed for their leading and trailing on the FD's.

I just see that on my car I have BUR9EQ all around, and it s not a BUR9EQP... is it normal?

 

The "P"s are platinum, longer lasting than the regular 9s and a couple dollars more each.
