What is wrong with your transmission? If it's just a broken 5th gear synchro, that's a easy and not expensive fix. If it's more than that, you'd probably be money ahead buying a good JDM transmission. They're about $350-400 or so.

Thanks Dale, just wasn't sure about the "JDM transmissions" condition. Found a few but the seller doesn't know the milage on it.

I've bought about 3 JDM transmissions and they've all been champs. Mileage is the biggie on a trans, and you can usually tell by looking at it if it's low mileage. Clean, bright aluminum and fasteners = low mileage, dirty as hell and corroded = high mileage.

Since you're in Atlanta hit up some of the JDM importers in that area and see if you can just pick one you like and drag it home.

Jdm trannys have a variety of gear ratios. Best to do some research before you take one home.
