sourcing parts for fd from other models or brands

In a search for wiring harness connectors, I had read recently that the MX6 and Ford Probe used some of the same connectors. Knowing this, I would assume that there are other components that are also used on other vehicle models or brands.

Are there other vehicles that used some of the same fuel injection components? Specifically, Im looking for a used Throttle Position Sensor and MAP Sensor to sub in to my system from a salvage yard before spending the money on new components when mine may be okay.

thanks,
chuck

I haven't spent much time in junkyards lately, but I imagine that the Miata shares common parts as well: electrical connectors, sensors, etc... However since our cars are turbocharged, I doubt that the MAP sensor from a non-turbo car would work.

Yes.... the Miata is the closest car that will share parts together but not completely... because its using a totally different motor....
I used to have a Ford Probe so I know what you are talking about as well~~~ hehehe

If you get any of the part number for the connectors you should list them. I know the injectors are easy to find you can get them about anywhere. The connector listing need to be a sticky.
