Since you have no serious mods on your car, one of the basics is out of whack. Spark plugs, O2 sensor, and the main cat are the obvious places to start. Is your engine reading any error codes?

I wouldn't do anything stupid, like putting some additive or unusual fuel in your car thinking that's going to provide a quick fix. Something is wrong and proper combustion isn't taking place. You should find out what it is and fix it.

I used denatured alcohol in my single turbo with no apparent harm... Then again, it's only been like a year since then

problem is i dont have a precat, i know for a fact that the car should pass with a downpipe, i have my plugs and all that **** changed every five k so i am fine in that department, i did engine code check and i got the egr code 16, i have heard that if the egr is not working that you will have higher hydrocarbons.

Ikay here listen to me. Basically do what Pumped suggested but in addition (minus the fact that you dn't have your preceat this should work anywho because of the secret sauce I'm about to tell you ) also [hopefully you have a boost controller or some way of controlling boost] turn the boost down to 0. You will damn pass for sure!

well the i told the tester not to boost the car at all and he didnt, i was watching the gauge the whole time while he was doing the test, the car passed on the acceleration portion but failed with high hydro carbons and carbon monoxide, so at idle it failed

what kind of plugs are you using. i don't think you can use all 9s when you want to pass air-care. You have to use the 7s in the leading. denatured alcolhol i heard works fine though. Also, don't run any premix of any sort when you test. Just make sure that main cat is hot as hell.
