If it was my car i'd be out there with a flashlight checking it out. Most likely it's coolant. Maybe one going to the turbo's.

Get that flash light and go check it out.

if you filled up your colant recently it could be the over flow tank.

should be able to tell by touching it.

tru but could have dripped off at another spot on his engine.

The whole thing of dripping in a line then stopping to me seems like an elevation change.

bleh i fell asleep :p i coudlnt find a flashlight and gave up.. on a SIDE note, i noticed steam coming from under one specific part of the hood once i stopped the car... (right after i shut off the engine - i had been driving it hard)

the steam was coming from the RIGHT side of the hood (you are looking at it as if you are staring at the car head on- ie NOT the driver's right side, but the driver's LEFT side). It was coming from about 2/3 of the way towards the windshield, and was steaming right through the crack between the hood/body. Again, I didn't have a flashlight and was unable to check this out. Thanks for the responses so far.

I have NOT refilled the coolant recently.. The smell wasn't strong - whatever it was - I could barely smell it. The oil was changed 1 week ago.

Oil would have burned off already.

The only thing you can do is jack it up and get under it. That should clear things up.

Until then we can only speculate.. it's the gas to your air pump or your blinker fluid.

def blinker fluid. you took a turn too hard and it spilled out. I kinda feel like you can't ask for help unless you have spent the time checking it out. be a real enthusiast, go for it!
