As for the ports......let's just say it's a really big streetport. It's quite a bit different than the standard street.......plus the exhaust was done up quite a bit also. My port job is a little larger than the original one that produced well over 700rwhp for this guy (he's very well known) I can't really say who it is though......he made me promise

The gears were chosen to run with the stick but we'll see what they do with the auto. There are sooooo many different combos to choose from......only time will tell. If the KAAZ doesn't hold then i've got another trick up my sleeve just itching to get out.

The axles are 1 of only 3 sets made......and pricey to say the least.

They are chrome-moly.....just a totally different process i guess.....or a slightly different metal. You know like the differences in aluminum.....or something like that I'm pretty sure they are originally made by Mark Williams.....but don't quote me on that.

el, why do your axles cost $1,300 when they're only chromoly? how are they different from the other chromoly axles out there? i doubt they're gonna last too long once you start putting that power to the ground. i know adam had to change his axles after every run once he started getting into the 8's, and he was running the heat treated 300m's.

Fdracer: we'll see......i hope they last a very long time! I'm gonna be running ET streets so they should help with the shock some. Also my whole suspension shouldn't flex very much which should also help. I've tried to address as many of the things that i could think of that could cause axle breakage. Time will tell if it all works Plus i'm gonna dial in a little slip until all the bugs get worked out.

yzf-r1: i know.....i get that from my friends here too It's the Veilside CF and i really like it except for the height. Which is why i'm making some new brackets to hold it that are a little shorter and farther back. It should look just right when i'm done with it If not then i'll pull it off and sell it and pick a new one.

Nice car Silvr94r2!

YZF-R1, he needs that huge *** wing to get the power to the ground.

The wing has to be mounted high to get "clean air" to do its job.

BTW, what are the two bungs in your downpipe for?
Stock O2 sensor and EGT or wide band?

The one closest to the turbo is the EGT going straight to the AEM.....the other bung is for the WB also going straight to the AEM. I've got another EGT in the manifold for my idiot guage inside the car

I'm thinking ahead on the wing.......those 150+mph trap speeds need some nice clean air to keep me straight and planted

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing......but i have quite a few friends who "used" to steal cars. I know it's bad but it actually helps me out knowing what works and what doesn't.

For the record.......they "used" to steal. I just want to make that clear and not get labeled or anything.

Actually.....yes i've spent a fortune Thank god we bought our house and got settled when we did or i'd have a $150k car sitting in the garage. At least it's only half of that right now

Silvr94r2: Your car is coming along nicely. Seems like your taking the right steps to me. I hope for the best for ya. Wish i had that kind of money, hehe. It would be nice. But anyway....I have a quick question. Where can you get an EGT bung? I wanted to install my EGT and i need to get one welded on.

I'm in the process of taking off my rear bumper. Doesn't look that hard: you have to remove all the plastic trims in the cargo area to get at the retaining screws inside the rear fender. I haven't taken it off yet though. Did I miss anything else?

When I was installing my tow hitch, I tried to remove the rear bumper cover to make it easier. I couldn't figure it out and gave up. A nice write-up would be handy in the future just in case.

You have to go underneath the car and remove some bolts which are attached to the bumper support. There are 3 screws inside each rear fender if i remember correctly which are quite a pain in the *** to get to. On the drivers side it helps to take out the ABS sensor box thingy to get to the screws. The passenger side was my biggest pain because of it just being damn awkward(sp?).

After i found the bottom screw and the ones underneath it all went pretty smooth. One little thing to remember.....the bumper pops off like the tail lights. It's held in with some clips that need to be popped free. It feels like your going to break it but if you've got all the bolts it should just pop off one side at a time. You'll be able to tell if you didn't get all the bolts.

Just thought of another spot for bolts......behind the bumper lights with the reverse light inside them. If i'm not mistaken there are 1 or 2 bolts there also.

Hope this helps.....it was a real pain in the *** for me so maybe this will make it easier on someone else

Thanks and about the EGT.....it depends on which one you have. I have the AEM EGT's for my car which came with nice bungs included. They are quite pricey though I've got close to a $1k just in sensors But i should be able to keep track of everything that's happening on my motor and then some.

Hell....i should be able to keep track of the guy racing me with the amount of $ in sensors i have
