sorry to thread jack, but it is a titanium veilside muffler, not axle back; so i have to get it welded on to the piping that i have(i know kind of ricey thing to do)...but when i get it welded the welds always come off...the exhaust shops always tell me that this is because the muffler is made of titanium and it requires a special type of weld.

yeah it has to be tig welded back-purged with argon gas, what you can do is get the non titanium pipe expanded to fit over the titanium pipe and use whatever kind of exhaust clamp you like.

thanks for the help, but after hearing that which seems to be a complicated process, i'm just going to give up on the veilside muffler for now, but keep it for my fd since it is such a rare muffler, and it sounds so damn good...

what i mention about getting the pipe expanded only takes about 1 hour at any muffler shop maybe all exept the one you went to they should have tried that and not welding it.

The older version of that rear bumper was better.

If I understand correctly, there's actually a core requirement or core charge w/ it as well.

Im waiting for my cf garage-s hood from ramy(fdnewbie) to come in
I know I know... hehe

than im going to inquire on the dolphin tail exhaust and see if he can pick me up a used one.
Fat chance. Titanium stuff from *any* manufacturer used is VERY hard to find. I found a used RE titanium dolphin tail for an FC not too long ago, and posted up about it in the FC section. No one bit.

It's almost here too

I think it's funny that both ppl posting on this thread about having RE catbacks got 'em from me :badass:

Absolutely. Plus, it's one of those things that you really gotta be ready to pull the trigger on immediately, once it pops up, cuz they don't stay on the market for a long.

EDIT: In fact, the SS bullet style canister is considerably difficult to find as well, given that it's a new design (they used to make the exhaust in the muffler type canister).
