16.5 lbs is not too bad for that much material. I've heard that they're made of Magnesium, is that true?

Magnesium! Interesting...

Ever put a piece of magnesium into an open flame? I wonder what they do to take away the reactive properties? or do they do anything?

I really don't like those rims but to each his own. If we listened to everybody else most of us wouldn't have FD's lol. Sweet car I really like the cym's, well almost as much as Brilliant Black

thanks for all the feedback guys. Yes the wheels are rather unconventional by modern viewpoints, however this is what attracted me to them. That and also the rarity and forgotten style of the fist generation mazdaspeed package for the FD3S.
