solenoid connector

So, I was taking the solenoid rack off, and when I was going through unhooking the connectors, I noticed the clip on one was broke (or i broke it getting their and didn't notice). Is their an easy way to replace a connector with a new one. It looks like I should be able to remove the pins, and just exchange the connector, but I dont know if their is a source for the connetors, or if their is a special tool to stick in the front to remove the pins or something. Has anyone else delt with this before without just wire tying it or something?

Cheers,
Dale

IME, the connector inside the plastic connector housing grabs onto the metal tabs quite securely. Considering that reassembly is the only time it's likely to see anything that might knock it loose, I'd leave it as is.

That was kinda my initial thoughts, but it takes so freaken long to get to that point if it ever did come off, and so much of this vaccum job is piece of mind, I hate to leave something like that. but if it ends up being to much of a pain I may just deal with it.

Thanks,
Dale

Hopefully this will help. .. you're ahead of me, I'm still trying to get my solenoid rack off!

Screw it, I've been trying to upload you a pic of the image in the manual, but it's not uploading right now for some reason. It's on page 18 in the shop manual, or G16.

I have a few bad harnesses that I cut up because they had some good connectors. Shoot me a pm with what you need.

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for, Thanks. Hopefully I can get away with using a small screwdriver or pin or something. If you havent already got the rack off, using a rachet and a #2 worked pretty well for me, but I still stripped one of the screws on the back. so I got a long set of bent pliers, like 10" or so and just worked at it, and it came loose after a while, just a pain.

Rotary Experiment Seven, PM sent,

Thanks,
Dale
