Solenoid box aluminium wrapping...opinion?

Like in the photo on my 2001 JDM FD3S i have not the usual rat nest, but the black box...

I'm covering every single solenoid and part of black box with aluminium tape...

In your opinion this can be uneffective at all, little effective or can bring more harm to solenoid???

Cant hurt. Make sure nothing electrical can accidentally ground on the aluminum though, or rub and short on it.

What most people have done in the past is just put a heat blanket under the solenoid rack/box, basically on top of the engine core. I don't know that it really helped anything, but it definitely didn't hurt.

I've done that myself. I dont know if the blanket helps though. I used a sheet of that funny fish scale aluminum sheet with the fiberglass core which is meant to isolate heat.

Same on the fuel line

Ipotetically lower fuel temperature--->less chance of detonation

Thermal insulation will increase the time it takes for these parts to each full operating temperature. After that delay, the insulation will just keep them hot longer.

If I remember correctly OEM injectors body and fuel rail are cooled by gas, If less heat reach the gas then gas itself have better cooling effect....

Obviously this is only theory

That makes sense for the fuel parts -- if the gas volume and temperature aren't already enough to keep them cool.

Even if it's enough if gas temperature drop a little chance of detonation is lower....

Yes. It would be interesting to see temperature data.

I try to find a way to monitor it...but the location it's not too good for temperature measurement
