CA So Long FD!

Well I finally sold my FD a couple of weeks ago after more than 18 years of owning it with only 53,000+ miles on the original engine. I feel it was one of the cleanest out there since I pampered it from the day I took ownership. Unfortunately, I can not put the attention and time it needs to maintain it. It was definitely love and hate. Below are the mods I did:

Reliability Modifications:
- Koyo Radiator
- AST tank replaced
- HKS downpipe
- Defi Boost gauge
- Vacuum hoses replaced
- New Primary fuel injectors
- New fuel pulsation damper

Modifications:
- Minimized battery with stainless steel battery holder
- Apexi N1 dual exhaust
- Apexi Air Intake
- Apexi coilover suspension system
- 18" Gewalt rims with Yokohama ES100
- OEM sideskirts 1999
- OEM front lip 1999
- Short shifter
- Megan Racing front strut bar

I give props to all the FD owners that continue to be devoted to their cars and thankful for all the useful information found in this forum.

Thanks guys!

Too bad it had to go. Looks like a 93 touring??

Just curious about the sale: How long did it take to sell it, and what was the sale price.

Thanks.

Looks like it only took a couple weeks:

...asking price was very fair - I hope he got it.

1993 Touring and too bad I had to let it go to start a new project. Didn't take too long after I was able to get it to pass smog. Only 2 people saw it and both wanted to buy it. Sale price was fair for both parties.

Was planning on changing the wheels to a 3-piece or something lighter but decided to sell it when I found a good deal on a GS430. I still miss the looks and performance of the FD plus the attention it gets from people not familiar with it. Hopefully in the future Mazda would come up with something the is worthy of replacing the FD.
