I do believe that this is good to do with any car - I do it with all my vehicles when I park in the garage.

Other than spending several hundred dollars on the upgrades that have already been mentioned such as boost gauge, downpipe, etc, I would recommend spending some of the money on driver training.

Since you are 16 years old, I highly recommend taking an advanced driver education course run by racing schools such as Skip Barber, Bob Bondurant, etc.
