So I finally got an exhaust...

My budget didn't really have room for a new exhaust with all the prep i'm doing for VIR in november, so when i saw this for $150 for sale from forum member 94Rx-7 I decided i could swing it.

Tanabe Super Medalion. Got it today and put it on (damn it's hot here in VA)

Here are some pics:

And a short vid if anyone is interested:

Next up: rebuild my calipers and put the new rotors on that came today and buy and install some Koni yellows

Nice find, $150 is pretty affordable. lol

You have the part numbers for the caliper seals? Might save me some time digging through the parts cache pdf.

i don't, sorry. I ordered the rebuild kits from Mazdatrix, I think it was around $80 for both axles.

I got a deal from carbotech on the rotors - they were selling OE rotors with track pads, the rotors ended up being about $125 for all 4.

Nice pads, which compound did you go with?

I will probably be using XP8's once I get my car on the track.

I went with XP10 on the front and XP8 on the rear. My first time using these pads on track so we'll see how they work out compared to the Porterfields I've used before.

Nice deal, looks nice. Sounds like a little loud, those straight through canister-style mufflers typically are pretty loud. How is it under load/boosting?

That is one of the loudest catbacks around. Once you remove the main car, look out!

Also, nice name for your website

It sounds good, pretty mellow - i expected more buzzing I guess :o I still have the main cat though, so that's probably why it's not too wizzy.

^^In my last post, i meant to say 'main cat.' With an open exhaust the tanabe is obnoxiously loud.

LOL, thanks. That was a joke some friends had with me about my car that i thought would be funny for my site.

I've heard that this will be pretty loud once i dump the cat, i'm not too worried though - by the time i do that I'll probably not be driving it on the street anymore at all anyway.
