Snapping input shafts

Has anyone ever had a problem snapping input shafts? WTF is going on

Ive snapped (sheared) two in a month, going from 2nd to 3rd on a hard pull (around 9k rpm)

Set up:
bridgeport 13brew, gt42r turbo, horsepower right now on low boost is 580
Brand new Liberty build rx7 transmission, exedy carbon triple disc clutch, banzai crossmember, stillway 0-400 shifter

You are not the first. Not surprised with that power and clutch setup. I thought Liberty offered an upgraded input shaft but may have stopped.

Maybe your shifting style is too harsh.
You need a non Mazda transmission.

Ive ordered a Tilton Flow control Valve to allow for some clutch slippage

The triple plate wont slip on its own so im thinking this will be the ticket

Someone else on the forum with a 20B (I beleive his name is bobby) he has a silver FD with a scoot hood. He participated at the modified challenge. Had the same problem runing the same built transmission from liberty and a carbon tripple from exedy. The problem seems to be because the clutch doesn't allow enough slippage too much bite. I have the same setup except a cerametalic twin from exedy so far no problems.

Please post an update when you install the Tilton flow control Valve! I was planning to run the Exedy triple disc with Tilton flow control as well. There is a forum member that has used the Tilton flow control with the 100% stock trans and I believe an ACT HD Extreme clutch to numerous 1.3 60's with no issue what so ever. It absolutely looks to re-leave tons of shock off drive line parts during hard launches and shifts.
