Smoking a little form intake

Smoking a little form intake
Has anyone had similar problems like this? I worked on and FD for a friend. Rebuilt the turbos and put on a downpipe and changed out the vacuum lines for silicon. everything seems to be working fine. THe problem is that when You give it a bit of throttle it smokes from under the intake manifold for a couple minutes. I haven't smelled burning oil for a while but if I had to say what it is I'd say oil. When I first started the car up it did something similar only it seemed to be coming from the turbo area. I thought it was just residual something on the manifolds and when I drove it a little it cleared up.
So here's how I replicate it. THe engine is warm and I start it up. There doesn't seem to ba any smoke. When I pull on the throttle cable up to higher RPMs (I'm not sure what cause I'm not in the car and the Tach isn't working anyway) it starts to smoke between the firewall and intake runners and a little bit comes out the front of the intake next to the alternator. it will do this for several minutes after I let off the throttle and let it idle again. My first thought is an oil injector line cracked while I was working under there. I'm not aware of any other oil sources under there.
Anyone have a suggestion as to what to look for? I don't want to rip everything apart to replace the injector lines only to find out it's not them.
Thanks
Greg

Now I feel really stupid. Of course I find out what it is right after I post. I went back and looked some more and saw that the smoke is actually coming up from the transmission tunnel and directly coralates with the exhaust puttering when it misfires coming down from throttle. And as well I just talked to a friend that reminded me that you need to you use a 3 inch gasket with the downpipe to cat mating otherwise it leaks. So I'll be changing that. Then we'll see. Sorry about the waste of bandwidth guys.
