smoked clutch

went playing in a parking lot this weekend... little controlled sliding.

car was... drifting... plenty of parking lot, so i decided to shift to 2nd and just smoked the **** out of the clutch!(only 10k miles on the thing)

STUNK something fierce!

Clutch still works but slips every once in a while.

should this happen? is this normal? I have about 300 HP at the wheels...

will

What kind of clutch do you have? A stock/stock-like clutch won't hold a lot of power. Slipping a clutch will wear it out VERY quickly - it may work OK for a while, but you've probably just taken a lot of the functional life away.

Next time get something more beefy clutch-wise (like an ACT clutch), and don't do whatever you did that caused the clutch to slip so much .
