Smoke from under the throttle body???

Okay, I was at the track this weekend, car was running good, real good. Made a pass, and I was pulling in to park my car I saw a pretty good amount of smoke come from under the hood. I opened the hood and the smoke was coming from under the throttle body. DIDNT smell like oil at all, kind of like burning plastic? I immediately shut the car off and pushed it to an empty space. Their it continued to smoke for atleast 5-7 minutes. Let it sit and cool for an hour, came back started it up and havent had any problems today which is the first time I ran it. Just curious if their is something I should check thats under the throttle body? I noticed that between the throttle body and elbow their was a little bit of oil that seeped out. My 7 is my daily driver so I need to be careful, any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say to check back there, it could be a vaccum line or a piece of plastic could have just gotten stuck in there to cause that...or oil could have have dropped on something hot...goodluck, hope you find the problem..

Not sure if you have your TB coolant passage removed but if not, check that. I suppose it could possibly be your clutch (i.e. "burning plastic"), but I'm not sure on that. Maybe your oil filter pedestal. Oil filler neck, oil pressure sender, oil-cooler line, heater core hose, fuel Line. There's really not much on that side that can smoke.
