Smoke question...but please read, :-)
My car smokes a hell of a lot after a cold startup now and goes away as the car warms up. I am pretty sure it is oil smoke, thick/white, and lingers. I had the check engine light come on twice. I checked the code after the first time it came on and it was the OMP. Also, the day before it started smoking I changed the oil (mobile 1 15w-50). I am almost positive that it is not overfilled also.
So, could a dying OMP be causing the smoke? I have not had the car long and it did not smoke at all before.
Any help would be appreciated.

It spounds like your coolant seals are bad. My car had exactly the same symptoms when mine went. You most probably need a rebuild. The car would smoke really bad(thick white smoke) and burn off after about 5-10 mins of driving.
My car smokes on startup too, not bad, not allot, but it smokes, my coolant levels are always normal and it pulls really hard, Its got about 4k miles on a pettit build. I dont think smoking is such a big deal, I dont worry about mine one bit anyway
