smoke coming from rear of engine bay
i was helping my friend install greddy intake, efini y-pipe, exhaust, and disabled the egr valve. we check the connections and start it up, loud screech for a bit, then a werid "dripping" noise comes on, my friend checks the PFC for knock and none, it idles for a bit then some smoke begins to rise, he immediately turns it off.
we notice a little bit of oil or some liquid is on the head of the downpipe, some smoke is coming from there as well as on the drivers side of the engine bay...
the car has been sitting for 5 days, we think that might explain the screech? the oil on the downpipe explains the smoke on the passenger side, but how did it get there? and we are still unsure as to why there is smoke on the driver's side of the engine bay
any help would be appreciated, thanks
oh ya: the water temp read 83C on the PFC

This happened to me once. I had accidently gotten some RTV on some parts near the turbos and they would smoke a white color in the engine bay. I cleaned the RTV off and all was fine.
