I got the dreaded letter in the mail the other week that said TEST ONLY!!! I was a bit worried about the Apexi intakes, PFC, and the DP. However.... I PASSED!!! The technician was cool enough to overlook the DP, and the CEL (PFC)

 

You Californians and your crazy visual inspections. The guy I go to basically said if the numbers pass, I don't care what the engine bay looks like. How did you have a CEL. I was under the impression the PFC didn't use the CEL. ???

 

in CA if the CEL doesn't come on when the car is first turned on that is enough to fail the vehicle

Yeah, I tried to talk to the tech a lot, and have a conversation etc. It kind of gives a better impression and that you are a cool person etc.
