Can you post some engine bay pics to share?

Arc smic

You can see photos of it at http://banzai-racing.com/2010_custom...e_08-20-10.jpg

Not much to see really. I painted the top tank black so that to maintain the stock appearance.

Is the ARC SMIC good for a single turbo conversion? (Engine is stock and only 12psi of boost)

The only way to know for sure is to monitor your charge temps.

^^ the colder the better.

Basically what you are looking for are stable AIT’s. For example lets say that on a 20C night and prior to boosting you are seeing 30C AIT, so you WOT and after boosting your AIT’s have climbed to 40C. Then that IC is inadequate.

I had a PFS medium SMIC with my stock twins and on average my AIT’s hovered in the high 30’s low 40’s on 25C days. After WOT my temps would climb about 4C which isn’t too bad. After I went single (GT35R) I called up PFS and asked if they thought that IC was inadequate for my new turbo and they thought it was. So I purchased a large SMIC (same size as pettit’s/M2/ASP/PFS large) now my AIT’s hover in the low 30’s and climb about 2-3 deg per boost and they remain in the low 40’s after constant boosting.

Also remember if that AI helps in keeping the AIT’s down so a large IC is not a prerequisite anymore.

So if you're running the RE-Amemiya/Greddy/Blitz/ARC SMIC, you pretty much have to build your own duct. I'm not seeing anything premade here.

Blitz uses the stock duct. No need to build anything.

Are you talking about the peice under the stock airbox? Because that looks inadequate.

I just got my RE-Amemiya SMIC in today, seems like my greddy SMIC piping won't work with it.
