Question Small defect on my new clutch disk (pics)

Hi guys,

Last year I bought a brand new Exedy clutch from a member on here. I'm going to install it shortly. After an inspection of the clutch disk I noticed a small defect. I would like to have your opinion if this could cause some problem of if it should make no difference.

Thanks,

Alex

That does not look very bad at all, I have seen similar disks installed with no problems, but that's hard to guarantee. If it was my car I would go ahead and put it in. If I just got it from the local parts store like that I may swap it out just for piece of mind.

I think you'll be fine. Might want to trim the excess material off so it's relatively smooth there. After a few starts and stops that will probably wear right off anyhow.

Looks like it may have been dropped or something.
