Slightly bent side seals

Hello guys,

I'm just preparing my rotors for a rebuild and I've got 2 or 3 side seals slightly bent as you can see in the picture. Can't tell when I got the seal in my hand but once installed we can definitely see it. Not sure why they are bent that way.

Should I throw these seals in the garbage (I know the answer will be yes),

How did they bend like that? I'm showing the worst.

Thanks!

I've had side seals get bent slightly from handling. Usually if you lay them next to the slot you can see where the bend is. Some light bending with your hands is usually all it takes to even it out.

I've done that more than once and have NEVER had a side seal problem or failure. The big thing is once it's all done the side seal should easily ride up and down in the slot and not stick or bind at all. If it moves totally freely, you're in good shape.

you can try to bend them back, but they're very fragile. lay them on a flat table to see how you are progressing.
