Slight missfie and hunting

Right was messing around yesterday with my 7 trying to sort her boost issues out and i think i cracked that. There was two vac pipes leading to the turbo control solenoid under the UIM that were kinked. As soon as i saw them i felt retty silly as it was me the replaced them . But to add to that when i drove it the other day after probably a week of sitting around about 70% of the time when i put my foot on the clutch it stalled but restarts fine and after all my playing about yesterday i remember last time i had it in bits thats the gasket between the UIM and the throttle body fell apart so i ditched the gasket and just put Hylomar in instead (could this cause a problem?) as it seems to be hunting too. Chucked a set of leads on it too as it had a slight missfire but they havent cured it and it had a set of plugs in about 1000 miles ago. Could it be a coil pack or it could be possible that on of the wires to the coil plugs could be broken as they all seemed pretty brittle. Think i might tug the engine out and just give it a good inspection. I rebuilt it about 2000 mils ago so i know all the insides are fine. Any help with the above would be great.

Thanks guys.

JC

Pull the spark plug wires out of the coils. Make sure a wire didn't burn up in a coil. If it did you'll need a new coil. If your plug wires are old then replace them. Is your idle going up and down? Spray some carb cleaner around the throttle body gasket. If your engine begins to stall then you have a vacuum leak. Also, check if the vacuum line at the map sensor has popped off. I'd do a compression test too.

As mentioned above ive just replaced the leads/coil wires it had a rebuild 2000 miles ago. I'll give the old carb cleaner trick a go though. Thanks. Someone else suggested my plugs could be fouled up too. Which makes sense as i wasnt always getting the 2nd turbo cutting in so its been dumping the fuel in without the air/boost to match.

well I'm not sure if its paranoia but this is what I'm getting a slight missfire all across not just at idle but when revved to . idle / revs will fluctuate by 25 rpm when ever the pop happens

motor has only been ran without loadi n neutral as its a motor from a project car I've been building

spark plugs and wires have been replace ..

I dont think its the coils because I checked every spark plug yesterday and all were clean . a little oil and gas on them but apart from that nothing .

now so if its not ignition what could it be? its not so bad that the motor shakes alot . but when i first started the motor it didn't have this missfire as it would idle very very steadily .

now there is a little pop and a shake . the pop is not pronounced very much its about hte same level as the car's regular idle . the RPMs are at 700 at idle . if it only happened at idle I'd be happy but it happens when I give it a little gas to like 2k rpms as well .. the car is running rich around 12.5 at idle the power FC fluctuates 25 RPM when ever the little pop happens

motor's never overheated .

Could it be some sort of injector being clogged?

the car is open downpipe at the moment so everything is heard alot more pronounced ..

injector load at idle is 3.5 %

what else could it be a chipped apex seal?
