Pettit's AST is really nice. However any of the metal ones are better than that stock piece of crap. I would either swap it out or eliminate it.

Looks nice Loi. So who got the honors of being the first to start that thing up? Nice to see that you finally got your coolant all in. The fluidyne really does need a cap on top! Have fun.

First off beautiful car, looks like you put a lot of time and money into her and its payed off. Question, what type of intercooler are you running and I see that it is a HKS unit but they offer 3 different setups. Was it polished like that when you bought it or did you send it out? How was the fitment, I notice that the piping takes a different path then the Apexi or the Greddy FMIC. If you know the dimensions that would be great. Also what type of turbo is that. Love the car sorry for so many Q's.

Wow, very very nice!

I'm currently in "saving" mode for an FD, because I know how much it sucks to have the car but no money for mods (or repairs), and I'm currently planning out what upgrade path I want to take to eliminate the reliability issues of the stock system. I played around with the idea of a V-8 a la Mr. Labreck, but I decided I want to keep the rotary, and I want a turbo car (I've owned a big V-8, but never a turbo).

You mentioned it's an HKS kit, could you tell us which one?

Also, did you do all the work yourself, and how difficult did you find this project to be?

Thanks for sharing with us, your car looks amazing!

t51quicksilver,
I'm running the HKS type S intercooler, with the hks t04. All the pipings come with silver painted, I sent them out to my local polsihed and chrome. I think hks intercoolers only mount it this way, i haven't see another way.

m.piedlourde, I have the hks t04 kit, most of the work is done by a shop near by. all the parts is from my store. V8 huh, i have a few of them, what kind?

LS1. I owned an '01 Camaro Z28 for a while. I loved the engine, but the car itself was too much of a boat, so I got rid of it.
