I have a Apexi n1 and was thinking about doing away with it and just running a straight pipe all the way back.What do you guys think?

A straight pipe will be very loud unless your running both cats.

If you want to drive the car on the streets then I definitely think that's a terrible idea.

 

glass pack in place of muffler or installed toward middle?

 

If you run a straight pipe from the turbo back the car will be unbelievably loud. You will likely have boost creep issues if your running twins.

If you run a straight pipe from the cat-back with a resonated midpipe it'll be really loud, and you will likely have boost creep problems.

A glass pack will probably not last in the mid pipe location. A friend did this to his NA 12a 18yrs ago and it only lasted 1 summer until the glass pack was completely burned out.
