whats up guys, i am new here, and need your assistance on a particular subject. first issue is this: you can't find 3rd Gen. RX-7s here in Arkansas. i have seen 3 in person in my whole life. i saw one today that i am thinking a/b buying. what is a reasonable price on it...in fair condition, but w/ no tranny. second thing: the guy has "all the stuff" on hand to do a Automatic to 5-speed conversion. i would like to know how difficult and pricey this conversion would be, if indeed all necessary parts were on hand.

and by the way...it is a 1993 RX-7 Twin Turbo.
should i buy this car?

Please go through the FAQ thread that is stickied near the top. It contains tons of info on buying these cars, as well as links to the auto-to-5speed swap. There is also the search function at the top right.

As far as pricing, there is a very wide range of pricing for these cars. I would go through the classifieds for an idea.

My advice is don't be in a rush and don't just buy an example just because it's local. You may have to go out of state to find a good purchase.

Have a look at the forum's car classifieds section. That should give you a good idea of what cars at what prices are availible.

Don't limit yourself to just local cars, alot of us have traveled across country to pick up our "dream cars". I flew from CT to TN for my car and drove it home to Va.

Actually, I think my car was originally sold in Arkansas. Good luck on your search
