Should I buy this?

Hi I have the chance to buy a nice RX7 93. But there is alot of problems. Im getting the car really cheap but the whole interior is kinda bad. Looks like its about $1,000 of work which is ok. The motor runs strong doesnt smoke and tranny and turbo's are good and rebuilt. Heres the bad thing though. The car is black, with a yellow engine bay, and a red firewall. The guy said it was stolen and thats why it has a salvage title. But it has alot more then that. I noticed the outside was bad everywhere too. the rear antenna is gone, the door handle things are coming off. The blinkers dont work, the center console is also comeing off, the carpet on driver side is gone. the shift **** is loose, the hood fitment isnt that great. Lots of little things. But anyway I did a carfax and i found out the car is not only stolen but has a junk title and rebuit/reconstruction title. and odometer fraud. Heres the thing, like I said im getting it for cheap and will have 2-3k to put into fixing the car thats not a problem. But I live in CA and I was reading aobut it and from what I read, you cant really drive a junked car legally. It said you have to go though all these crazy forms and take it to different people and stuff.

Im really confused guys. I really REALLY want this car and its pretty much my dream car and now I could get it. But If I cant drive it legally whats the point. Please give some feedback about this situation and what you think I should do. Any comment is greatly appreciated.

How cheap is cheap? Sounds like a nightmare to me, esp for someone who is new to the FD game.

PASS! Most guys will agree that it is cheaper in the long run, to buy an average/nice FD, than to buy a problem FD for cheap & fix it up. Plus, it sounds like yours was peiced together... it sounds like someone took a junk 7, half-assed installed a bunch of junk parts to sell it to some sucker...

you get what you pay for...

There's no such thing as a cheap Rx7. 2-3k won't even get you started, well started maybe, but please don't waste your money or time on a title with that much history. There's nothing worse than buying a car like this with known problems. You don't want your dream car to give you financial nightmares.

Save and buy a clean example. I nearly bought a salvaged car and thanks to the members of this forum I avoided that car. It's been a year and a half and that car I nearly purchased is still in the hands of the owner.

Buy a clean titled car, trust me.

I was leaning towards what you guys were saying. But here is why I was about to hand over most of my money yesterday night.
I went to go check out the body in person. Pulls it out with a CLEAN body new paint no dings mazda speed wing. Brand new $2400 rims and tires. And the int was pretty messed up but the engine and turbos had 12k on them. He took me for a test drive and DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! All I could say it thats nothing like the civics ive been in and not even close to my 3000GT or my friends MR2. Anyway He was trying to sell me cause of the body rims and motor, and it was actually working.
But err Im gana go check out a car today at some dealer and see if they accept trade + cash for a nice hopefully clean FD. My search continues
Thx for the help guys I dont know what I would do if I bought that dirty FD
