Shiny Black R1 Spoiler and Lip on VR FD?

I am buying an R1 Spoiler already painted in Shiny Black paint. I also have an R1 Lip, which is black and intend on keeping it black.

What would my 93 stock, red touring FD look like with a shiny black spoiler and front lip?

The wheels are the stock silver, but the paint has come off of the center hubs, which are now black. I am thinking of painting the round center hubs shiny black to match the spoiler and lip?

Anyone have a VR with black lip and black spoiler pics?

Thanks!

The black lip will look good. I have never seen a VR w/a black spoiler but I think it will probably stick out like a sore thumb.

Put a towel or something on the hatch, position the wing and step back to see if you like the look.

Thanks for the advice Mitch.

Even if I get to see some pics of other VR w/black spoilers, I'll still probably do the towel view thing.

Thanks!

IT LOOKS TERRIFIC. Tony Demetrocopolous (sp?) has this combo. The color contrast makes the rear fenders look wider. Also, the black wing picks up the color of the tail lamps nicely.

It's something I'm going to do with my mbm after a couple more functional modifications.

i dont think its for me - the red rear black front is a classic combo.

the black front lip pics up on the black door handles, black tail lights, and the black plastics under the rear bumper.

add a CF hood to make the rear wing stand out less

Do you have a picture, I'm curious as to what this looks like.

Unfortunately I don't. I've asked Tony to post one several times, but he hasn't gotten around to it. He also has an RE black diffuser and the 99 spec lights.

It sounds a little ricey, but it actually looks more German/European.

I'm thinking again of removing my R1 spoiler, but then I gotta dump $$$ into the getting the mounting holes fixed up.

If you are talking to me, I'm 48 years old. Why do you want to know? Are you looking for a date, or a child?

instead of a towel, try a few layers of plastic wrap then you wont be trying to ignore something like a towel...

just an idea

Sounds interesting, but I would still go with black R-1 front spoiler and VR rear spoiler. I would like to see the pics of the red black combo though.

If you can get me a good picture of how you want it, that would be great.

i might actually have a picture, a local guy here added an R1 spoiler and hadn't gotten it painted yet. personally i thought it needed to be repainted.

Not bad at all! I kinda like the matte finish to match the front spoiler. Seeing matte finishes more and more on motorcycles and helmets. Interesting....certainly highlights the spoiler.
