Shifters in newer FDs

Hey,

I was just wondering. Does anyone know if the shifters that Mazda put in the 99+ FDs differed from the stock ones they put in ours from 93-95? Maybe in the Spirit R or the Bathurst R?

Thanks

Hey, what's up dude? Did you finally get your car?

Anyway, I looked into the same thing a little while ago. The J-spec shift ***** are supposedly the same size and shape as ours. The only difference is the finish, all of the newer interior parts are less shiny.

A cheaper option (which I ended up going with) is the Mazdaspeed leather shift ****, which is exactly like the JDM stock one, but has a small "Mazdaspeed" indentation on the side. I got mine from rx7store.net.

The only difference with Spirit R **** is that it has red stiching. I don't think there's anything different about the Bathurst ****.

Yeah I finally got it... But I'm guessing your car is way nicer then mine since the interior is a bit rough. It got here last week and will probably sit in my garage till spring.

But I was just wondering about the actual shifters themselves. Not the shift *****. Even though I need to buy a new one of those too.
