Shifter bolts always loose?

Hey guys,

It seems every month or so. I have to re-tighten the
shifter bolts. If I tighten them too much - I have a really tough time getting thru the gears.

If it is too loose the shifter feels very sloppy.

Does anyone have any solutions?

I even tried some lock washers but with no success.

thanks for the replies jc.

there is a super glue for metal you can put it on metal and it will hold, but if you try to unscrew it it will unscrew, it's called blue locktite, or if you want to screw it on forever it's called red locktite, it looks like oil, you pour it on and let it sit for 24 hours for complition, and it does look like red and blue, you can get this locktite at a hobby store or a hardware store.

Tried it. With the bolts that eventually pry loose. The
tranny oil slightly seeps around that locktite then it loosens again.

Thanks for the recomendation. jc

Is there a spring or special lock washer that will help?
