Series 8 Idling Speeds?
Hi,
I've only had my S8 for 3 days now, having previously owned a S4 GT-X. Aside from the substantial increases in power and handling capability, there have been substantial increases in maintainance costs.
I've managed to work around most of the problems(thus far), but have been worried about the idle speed of the motor when warm. Now, i don't know the exact figure it should be at, so i may just be paranoid. It's idling somewhere around the 750rpm range, and hunts a little, though the hunting isn't a big deal as my S4 did that too.
However, i keep thinking i've cut out mid-drive because the engine noise at idle is just so soft. Is that normal? The car is stock save for an aftermarket muffler of indiscernable origin. What kind of idle speed is normal for a S8?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds totally normal. 750 is right where it should be.
