I remember reading about this but I cant find it either. What else would cause the car not to boost 4psi in neutral?

Most likely a boost leak or a poorly adjusted turbo pre-control actuator.

For those that get more than or equal to 4psi in neutral, do you guys get 10psi+ at 3000RPM? Basically, is your sequential system working correctly?

Hey guys, the weight of your flywheel is going to have a significant effect on the neutral test results. In order to compare oranges to oranges, please list your flywheel combo and/or weight with your result. This is because the flywheel affects the transient load on the engine as well as the relative amount of time that turbo will have to spool (which will be less in the case of a light flywheel).

My car has big-*** GReddy Type 24 V-spec FMIC core, and long runs of boost piping to fill with boost, so no, I don't see 5 psi in neutral WOT to redline. I've seen 2 to 3 psi at most with no load on the motor.

I remember another post a little while back about on this topic. This is so strange...back when I had the stock twins I could make exactly 0 lbs in neutral...my car had no problems...I made a perfect 10-8-10 pattern and my primary actually spooled faster than other 7s that I have been in. Even with bnr stage 2 parallel/light flywheel I still made exactly 0 lbs. very strange

All the usual bolt on mods and then some.

No problems making 4 psi in neutral.

Did it when the car was stock.

Still does it.

I have other boost problem issues

I'm def. not mr. techie, but doesn't your piping have a lot do to w/ this? If you're running a SMIC vs a FMIC, efini y-pipe & hardpipes vs. stock plastic, etc? Kind of in line w/ the whole IC pressure drop thing?

FWIW, about 1 psi until transition then it shoots to almost 5 psi @ 6k.

Stock intake (k & N), stock piping, stock flywheel, DP, Hi-flo Cat and 3" CB.

Mine makes boost before 4500rpm, then after the transition stage, it wont (in neutral) because I have a boost problem. Only have a DP and CB.
