Selling my car which engine should I get?

I have to sell my car. To make matters worse, the engine is showing clear signs of going soon. So, I'm going to have it rebuilt before I sell it. Do you guys think I should just have the straight rebuild done or should I have them do anything else (streetport, 3mm seals, oil mods, etc) while they are in there? I am wondering if I would recoup the cost of the upgraded engine or if it would make the car a better option with the engine work done. Oh, I've got a '93 R1 with only 46k miles if that helps y'all decide.

Thanks,

Aaron

I would try to sell it as is... I don't think you'll get all your money back dropping a rebuilt engine into it. Plus there are always people looking for inexpensive FD's for project cars.

Try to sell it as is... If that doesn't work out, drop a reman into it and then put it back on the market.

I second Mahjik's. You have to find the right buyer if the engine is showing definite signs. But you'll never recoup the cost of the upgrades over a reman.
