Self adhesive heat film

I was just curious how well this stuff holds up. Does it get all old and crappy after a while? When you remove it, does it wreck paint? Does it stay stuck down? I haven't heard of any complaints about it yet, just looking for opinions/experience on the stuff.

My engine bay is freshly painted so I would hate to ruin anything or have it look tacky after a couple thousand miles. Thanks for any info!

You should probably put a link to what you're thinking about. There are zillions of heat reflective products out there, you could be talking about any one of them.

Sorry, should have been more specific, must've been tired haha. I was wondering about all heat films in general, but here is this as an example: Gold Heat Reflecting Film self adhesive - Full-Race.com

What I'm concerned about is:
A. Can it be removed cleanly?
B. How well does it hold up? Does it get crispy, flakey?
C. Is it worth it? Any brands to avoid?

Looking for people's experiences with any reflective heat film in general. Thanks.
